Description

Pass the sushi! In this fast-playing card game, the goal is to grab the best combination of sushi dishes as they whiz by. Score points for making the most maki rolls or for collecting a full set of sashimi. Dip your favorite nigiri in wasabi to triple its value. Sushi Go Party! is a great party game for the whole family to enjoy. Another fast-paced card game, Sushi Go is all about accumulating the most points by strategically drawing food cards being passed around the table. Each player starts with a full hand selecting one card and then passing the remainder to their opponents. Make sure to keep an eye on what your opponents are drawing as there are only a limited number of cards and they may hold the ones you are looking for.

As you play a few rounds you’ll learn to get a handle on the risk/reward of your selection. Some cards reward you a small amount of points as soon as you play them, while others require a full set of 2 or 3 not being worth anything on their own. Desert cards are the most intriguing as they are counted at the end of the game and are worth the most points but failing their win condition can actually take points away.

Sushi Go is perfect for those families who may have members who are a bit too competitive. No where in the game can you directly attack each other which means every player is responsible for their own victory or defeat. With its attractive art style and easy to understand rule set this game is a great pick for new and veteran board game enthusiasts alike. I also recommend picking up the Sushi Go Party! edition. This includes additional cards to allow up to 8 players as well as new cards to add to the mix to keep the game fresh and interesting.
